How fibre installation works
Fibre to the home is the fastest, most reliable internet connection solution available on the market today, and if you haven’t started researching it as an internet solution for your home, you are missing out! This is how fibre installation works.
First things first: you need to make sure that fibre is available in your area. Once you have confirmed that it is available, you will be able to order a fibre to the home package. This will require installation, so arrange to have your fibre to the home installed so you can get connected!
Fibre installation is not a lengthy or difficult process, and only takes a few hours to complete. On the day of your fibre installation, here is how it will work:
- First, the technician will assess your home to see where the fibre cable from the street should be installed in your home. After the assessment, a cable will be installed that runs from the fibre box in the street into your home.
- Once this has been done, they will connect the cable running from the street to a device called a ONT situated inside your home.
- After this has been installed, your fibre internet line will be activated immediately.
- The ISP will then send you a wireless router, (CPE), to plug into your ONT and activate your internet connection for you.
- Once the wireless has been set up, you are connected to lightning-fast internet!
It’s a pretty simple process to get access to the world’s most reliable internet connection solution, right?
